Family moving to new home robbed of their worldly possessions when truck, trailer stolen

The distressing scenario could have been avoided had the family properly secured their trailer and truck with an immobilizer device.

A British Columbia, Canada family was moving from Vancouver Island to their new home in Creston when their truck and cargo trailer was stolen in front of a Grand Forks hotel early Saturday morning, Jan. 22, 2022.

Thanks to a quick response by the local police, the stolen truck, and trailer, which the police spokesman said was packed with the family’s “entire life,” was located near a logging road on the banks of a nearby river. The family’s belongings were all “present and accounted for” when the police came upon the trailer.

Thankfully, the outcome was happy. However, the entire distressing scenario could have been avoided had the family properly secured their trailer and truck.

Considering the fact all their worldly possessions were held in a trailer on the side of the road, a basic immobilizing device, such as The Protector would have likely secured and protected their property.

California Immobilizer’s The Protector car wheel lock stops thieves cold by offering a powerful disincentive to theft.

The unique caliper design of The Protector makes these car wheel locks incredibly versatile and allows them to fit over a wheel as small as a bicycle tire or as large as a typical wheel on a 5-ton truck.

Every second a thief has to spend trying to steal your vehicle increases his risk of detection.

Why steal a car secured by The Protector when there’s one down the block without the car wheel lock that would be much quicker and less risky to steal?
